Yeah ... one's real common at Western, one's real common with pirates.
Girl #1: Would you like some carrot sticks? I've got lots.
Girl #2: No, thanks. I don't like vegetables.
Girl #3: You should eat more vegetables, 'cause if you don't you could get syphilis -- wait, that's not it -- scurvy!

Yup, it's scurvy. Hey at least the girl's right about that.
I thought scurvy was from not getting enough citrus fruits? Like oranges and grapefruits..
Scurvy is from not getting enough vitamin C. That's why it's commonly associated with oranges and the like (although carrots actually do have vitamin C as well).
You know the one vitamin that pirates have in abundance??
Vitamin Arrrrrr...
Interesting aside - British sailors were originally called 'Limeys' because of all the limes they'd bring with them on voyages to ward off the scurvy.
Damnit 6:23, I didn't come here to learn something!
I knew the limey thing.. but did not know carrots had vitamin c..
10 million points for referencing pirates though!
Hey 6:05!
The cabin boys, however, had “vitamin S” pouring out of all holes.
Sorry…..I had to do that.
Too much swabbing the mizzenmasts often leads to that outcome. Those poor cabin boys. I guess it does explain why Roger was always so jolly, though...
