To be fair, he really should have been.

Girl #1: Hey, did you hear David Suzuki is coming to town?
Girl #2: Wasn't he in The Karate Kid?
Girl #1: Ummm...

I'd pay a nickel to watch David Suzuki and the undead Mr. Miyagi have a knock-down, drag-em-out, ethnic stereotype, zombie-brawl. And if this were to happen (and the CBC decided to broadcast it), maybe then I'd actually have a reason to watch The Nature of Things.

Dear 4:35pm,

There are people out there whose mothers ARE dead and buried. Although I don't crack any, I have no problem with most "Your mom" jokes (to each his own). However, please do be aware of what you are saying, as it can be potentially hurtful to others.

Sincerely,

^ Suzuki's parents or people who make mom jokes?

I assume people who make mom jokes, because I guess they're too stupid to graduate. Unless, of course, David Suzuki is speaking at convocation and I'm not aware of it. I thought he was just doing the book thing.

I agree that dead and buried was a little far. What if the person's mom really was dead? In real life, you'd feel terrible for making a mistake like that. It's not ok just because it's the internet.

However, the joke is indeed dead and buried, and that was a much better response.
