Take that, family values programming!

Girl #1: Is it true they cancelled Arrested Development?
Girl #2: Yeah, but they also cancelled 7th Heaven, so there's some good with the bad.

Watching too much 7th Heaven probably leads to some of the comments submitted to OAW. About time they got rid of that slop.

Well, I just read it... this will in fact be the final season of 7th Heaven. The WB is going to finish out the season with all new episodes, but then that's the end of the Camden's.

I watch 7th Heaven simply to make fun of the Camden's. Especially that nosy bitch Ruthie.

About three years ago, for lack of better morning entertainment, I used to watch 7th Heaven.

Maybe it was cuz I liked how Jessica Biel looked in yoga pants.

Hmmm....

Re:Arrested Development though, I really can't see why everyone thinks it's a great show. Half the time there's an attempt at humour, I stare blankly at the screen, hoping for that little bit more... which never happens.

The Office on the other hand is great. Awkward humour, but entertaining nonetheless.

The BRITISH version of the Office is great. The American take on it is simply decent.

"7th Heaven" is one of the greatest shows ever, in my opinion. It's the only show I ever seem to watch that is currently in production, other than "General Hospital" (a soap opera). Quite entertaining!

"7th Heaven" accurately portrays how messed up children of Ministers are, I realize that this may be in only 65% of all cases. I know ones whose parents are leaders in the Church and they end up to be the ones who turn to drugs, alcoholism and ruin not only their lives but the lives of people around them.

Wow, what a lovely generic comment. I'd love to know where you got a statistic like that.

I'm a minister's daughter and I don't drink, smoke, toke or shoot up. My little brother is an awesome kid, and if I ever have a son, that's the role model I'd want him to pick. Why? Well, just because my dad did a certain job, didn't mean we would turn out any way other than the way we did. My parents were good parents, and we turned out well.

Care to provide us with a stat on how messed up crack-whore children are? Oh, wait. Let me give you a moment to pull it out of your ass.

Wow anonymous, just because you're an exception to the other person's example, doesn't mean you have to take a hissy fit over it. I shall give you a minute to pull another "little miss perfect" example out of your ass.

Trust me I've grown up with kids who somewhat resemble the Camden kids, actually it's funny how much like Mary the one girl was.

Actually, my Dad's a minister as well, and my brothers and I turned out fairly normal (eg not into alcoholism, drug abuse, promiscuity, etc). Anonymous is right; just because your parents have a certain job doesn't make you turn out one way or another. I've grown up with lots of other PKs, and it's not like we all end up as brainwashed Stepford kids, or cracked-out whores.

I guess that's why the stat was 65% and not 100%. You win guys, you've proven nothing.

My dad's also a minister and so is my neighbour and the man who pilots my yacht. When not touching boys, he's a very sage fellow who, if not for his sperm's low mobility, would probably have a well-reared flock of socially responsible children. My yacht pilot I mean, not my dad. My dad's a bit fucked.
