So I checked out overheardatguelph.com and it wasn't that great. Guelph students are NOWHERE near as funny as Western students...(although Western students seem to say funny things unintentionally, but that's besides the point)...

Actually, Guelph has one of the largest commerce programs in Canada, known particularly for its Hotel and Food Administration major.
It's not all aggies and vet students.
Basically we are all getting dead end degrees. I am going to paint a pretty picture on the back of my degree and sell it for food money.

Yes it is. Kids at Western are spoiled into stupidity, catered to at every turn... A walk down Saugeen Maitland terrifies the shit out of me.
Do your reading. Guelph is pretty much perpetually in the top three Comprehensive schools, according to MacLeans. It's the most popular destination for International Exchange, has several profs from the Canadian Who's Who Top 50 Intellectuals, and is currently the top research institute in North America.
It's a pretty special place where you can't buy cool, and the pampered aren't at the top of a pathetic late-teen hierarchy.

Yeah I go to western for my business degree. All girls here are walking around in 400 dollar wardrobes... and they all act like pretentious princesses. Yet all of the money that bought the things they have came from their money - not their own hard work... girls driving around daddy's lexuses in first year.. it's actually kind of disgusting.
It's like a bubble here... nothing at all like the real world is.
I really want to see what happens to the people here going for their general arts degrees 5 years down the road when the financial plug is pulled.
For community, unless you're part of this demographic, relating to the entire community isn't going to happen.
I love how the kids that go here say these things in the above comments like "we're better than you" - it makes no sense, it's the worst justification for a superiority complex i've ever heard, and such a complex will come and bite them in the ass real hard in the long run.
This is why everybody hates western. People here think they're better than everyone else.. based on what premise!? The fact that daddy bought you all those clothes!? All these people are so rich, they haven't had to learn essential life skills, what happens when all the money is gone!?
