Looking for depth at Western? This guy will be single forever.

Guy #1: Why'd you break it off with your girl?
Guy #2: Don't get me wrong, she was really nice and sweet, but I guess a little shallow? She was pretty frivolous about most things. Life is just a party to her - one long night at The Drink. It's fun for a while, but then you need to talk to someone and feel like you're not talking to MTV.

I'm pretty sure alot of the guys at western can be stereotyped the exact same way the girls are. Slutty and rich.

The bottom line is that there is probably a lot more normal kids than those who hold up the stereotypes. They just get more attention.

Am I the only one concerned about this guy's party-time reference to The DRINK of all places?? Maybe they broke up because he's living in 2002.

He's probably just saying this because he has a small dick.

Wow, I can't believe people still use the small genitalia insult to counter another person's intelligence. I guess that proves that most Western guys and girls ARE pretty shallow.

"I guess that proves that most Western guys and girls ARE pretty shallow."

Riiight, because the poster at 2:48 represents 'most Western guys and girls'.

I'm loving the /sarcasm notation.
I think we're well on our way to properly communicating now.

the "slutty" ones do get the attention cause they are the ones out there making their self available to everything. Im sure the stereotype would be alot different if the bible thumpers were the ones that were out having a good time and what not.

So he's having a problem finding a girl with depth...and what I'm finding at Western is a complete lack of guys with depth...there's a problem here.

Kevbo,
I sure as hell hope you're not the stereotype, because most people at Western know that "a lot" is actually TWO WORDS

"the stereotype would be alot different"

I guess your holier than thou attitude can't buy books... can it?

wow, I could continue this mindless argument, but its not going anywhere. I will just have to accept that some people will never understand.

ps. if you are going to get into a conversation like this dont hide behind an anonymous identity. Oh and if you check out my blog you will find that I dont give two shits about the grammer cause in the end it is the INTERNET, its informal at best and Im not out to impress anyone, especially someone of your nature

Improper use of English grammar rapes the language. I, for one, am not a fan of language-raping, because it dishonours it and really, most of it is just plain igorance...you're in university...you should know these simple, yet essential, rules of the English language.
Mistaking your "your and you're"'s or "too, two and to"'s just makes you look like and idiot and thus makes your point seem less valid. That, folks, is why we shouldn't use the old "oh it's just the internet" excuse to hide behind our total lack of grammar skills.

You are not a fan of language-raping the english language, eh? Thats bull right there. Conversation like this rapes the english language. Do you not have a sense of reality?

hey 2:48, doesn't misspelling a word like "ignorance" make you a bit of an idiot yourself?

hey 4:35, 2:48 was being sarcastic...but it was funny that three people in a row didn't catch that...who's "igorant" now?

oops, typo. But typos sure aren't misspelling something on purpose :)

The thing is... if someone really messes up their grammar, it's hard to understand what they meant in the first place. So it's not so much about raping the English language as it is about getting your point across clearly.
