She's probably correct, if you look at standard distribution of surnames in Canada (and you would expect fewer ethnic ones at Queens), you'd be well past half of the last after K. Obviously it sounds funny given that K is before the middle of the alphabet.
Yeah, but she didn't say, "we're halfway through the names of students graduating," she said "so we're, like, more than halfway through the alphabet..."
