So someone submitted this to make fun of someone and yet their grammar is terrible.

isn't that right? since the verb "is" is referring to "a group" not groups? the girls is just descriptive of the group. it's not the object of the verb itself.
I prefer to quietly evaluate grammar and enjoy the joke for what it is. It was at least an honest attempt.
