...but that quote is hilarious! can you imagine if hitler wrote the kama sutra? oh man... hilarity would ensue.
Why is 'on the road' stupid? It's no more stupid than 'at western' and it's just as funny.

stop whining, as if you would be able to tell the difference if it was made up or on the road or if someone at western actually said it
you do raise a good point about location. its not like quotes automatically become unfunny when the quote is heard beyond the boundaries of the university.

Western students are no different than students anywhere else. I challenge anyone to provide a characteristic that distinguishes westerners from others.If any of the quotes allegedly from western were actually from elsewhere, it wouldn't matter because they're funny. Therefore we should accept quotes based on their humour, not on their location.

It's ideas like that that made this site possible in the first place. The title clearly marks the quote as being from somewhere other than western so if you don't like it, don't read it. That's not hard, is it? But then, you do go to western so maybe that's the 'distinguishing characteristic' this site needed.

Quite frankly, if it's overheard by someone from Western, whether on location or not, and it's funny, then there's no reason to not post it.
If there were overheard at guelph, or laurier, or queens, or whatever, then I would criticize the On the Road posts too. But, since Overheard at Western is one of kind right now, and read by people at other schools, I think its good that we show that there is no Western monopoly on stupidity.
ditto that. it is refreshing to see that western is not singular in its funny and stupid comments. also since people tend to visit other schools, there is always the slight possibility that it was in fact a western student...
i posted it, my friend from western was sitting next to me, is that good enough for ya?
lol I agree like..if they know about the site well why the hell not? Arnt we supposed to laugh at other schools anyways? beside if its on the road and one of our western kids hears it isnt it technicaly overheard by a western student?whos AT western?
hahahaha....i love how everyone posts comments A LOT right now....during exam period and all....I mean, I really think the comments in general have increased exponentially over the exam period. I love it.

perhaps if there were enough contributors from other universities (including UWO's on the road comments) there could be another site started called "overheard at..." linked to on this page, for all the other universities. too much work, perhaps?
